Setting up the Triage

Posted on Sun Oct 18th, 2015 @ 11:23pm by Commander Cor Cordale & Lieutenant Mickey McClane & Lieutenant

Mission: Commanding the Elements
Location: Cargo Bay 4
Timeline: Present time.

During while the ship was at warp Mickey went to the cargo bay. He was intending to get the triage up in time for what's going on. It was something more of a redemption ordeal he needed.

"At least we have something to do. The bridge is in good hands. Though, i wished we stayed but right now i don't think we should intrude on the commander. Let's at least play it right" Aladdin said as he looked up at his friend.

"I know, i just wished i had stayed but there's nothing to change it now. All we can do is move forward." Mickey said as he arrived in the cargo bay. He then tapped his com-badge.

=A= Any and all officers, please report to cargo bay four, for assemblage of a medical triage. Thank you=A= Mickey tapped the badge as he began working hopefully people would come.

"Computer Activate the EMH Program" Aladdin order the computer.

"Please state the nature of the medical emergency." The computer hologram materialized in the cargo bay.

"Just in time, Doc. I need your assistance in setting up a medical triage here." Mickey asked the Hologram nicely.

"I don't see any issue there Lieutenant McClane." as the EMH accessed the medical computer to find out who he was talking too.

"Nice to finally meet you doctor Joe." Aladdin said as he came up with a name for him. "It's just a name doc, but i don't think it would feel right with you having a name." Aladdin said nicely.

"My name is not Joe but it will do for now." The EMH said calmly. "Thank you Aladdin! Shall we get stared then?"

"Indeed, Doctor." Aladdin said as the three began working the preparations for the triage

The doors to the Cargo Bay crawled open enough for a figure to walk through. Engineering from the looks of it, and human by the looks of it as well. "Sorry I'm late, had to finish up a project for the boss. Ensign Randal Cunningham, sir, reporting to assist."

"Welcome, Ensign Cunningham. If you wouldn't mind getting your hands dirty. With Doctor Joe here, at least his will stay clean. We have wounded coming i need help with a triage" Mickey asked nicely of the ensign.

"More hands we have the faster things get done." EMH commented quickly. waiting for others to arrive.

"With respects, sir, I'm an engineer. I don't have clean hands until after my shift ends." he said with a nod. "That's kinda how the boss works. Everyone does their job, no one coasts. So, triage you say?" it had honestly been a while since he had done medical work. He'd done something like Triage on engine parts and plasma coils, but the living?

"Let's get started and ready for the flood. We'll need a large section for the incoming, and smaller sections for where we classify them. Walking, hobbled, injured, and beyond... or something."

Little more shipmates were coming head readied for the flood. "Excellent. Joe, Even though you are the EMH, you are acting chief medical officer. So, let's get ready gentlemen." He then raised up the hand to the doctor. "No Disrespect, Doc." He smiled at the hologram.

The EMH looked at them calmly. "None taken!" The EMH said calmly. "All is good! We can use the standard set up for the triage center. Its all in the database."

As the Small band of officers prepared the triage and began work on treating the sick and injured. Aladdin became the medical dog, of the triage giving everyone drinks and food to keep their energy up.

"Thanks Pooch." Cunningham didn't know the dog's name, and was a little surprised at the capacity of the canine, but since he worked under a walking weasel, who was he to question.

"God, i hope the others aren't dead down there?" Mickey said as he was working with the EMH on treating the wounded.

EMH looked at Mickey strangely for a moment. "Agreed there have been enough death already."

"Indeed Doc." Mickey said as he looked at the EMH as well handing him the med kit.

The doctor went to the replicator system and started ordering up some of the items needed here in the new medical wing. "The bigger items we will have or need to be gotten from the ships stores. Since there Replicator systems are easier to deal with larger items."

"Let's not think about that. I mean, we have to but let's not dwell on it." Cunningham commented as he queued up some of the medical supplies that the EMH was replicating up. "We can only do the best we can, and hope that's enough."

"agreed!" EMH commented "We have more things to deal with right now." looking at them a moment before he continued on his list of items.

"Indeed, Let's focus on the here and now. Will have time to grief later" Mickey took off his coat and yellow shirt to reveal a regular t-shirt underneath as he put his communicator back on and continued to help as he replicated a doctor's surgeon gown. "To make it more official Joe" Mickey just snickered a bit

"Make what official ??" looking at Mickey strangely. "You know I am an EMH program not human or anything like that?" The EMH was more confused by the surgical garb.

"That's Nurse McClane, Doc. You lead the way and I'll follow" Mickey said as he put on his old fashioned garments so nothing would get on him.

"Thats right you took some interest in Medical I remember Doctor Antos telling me about this. By all means please proceed." As the EmH smiled kindly to the man. "Very well Nurse McClane."

Cunningham simply opted to put on basic medical scrubs, not out of wanting to fit in but basic protection from anything contagious. Safety first, as his one-armed boss was prone to say.

"Ensign, my name is Aladdin." Aladdin made sure he knew who he was as he was helping him out.

"Oh, sorry. Well then, nice to formally meet you Aladdin. Randal." Cunningham said indicating himself. He'd seen weirder, that was for sure.

The doctor moved away as he grabbed some of the gear and placed tricorders in a recommended pattern for this type of triage center. as he slowly placed all the instruments where they needed to be.

"All right, Doctor Joe. What's the majority as a few of my officers are ready" Mickey said as he was ready to go

The EMH was confused by some of the words that Nurse McClane was using... "Majority??" The EMH was confused by the odd placement in the setentance and what context he was referring too.

"Some of them are in my department. I ment to say. Lead the way as your the acting CMO" He corrected himself.

"Well here are some padds there is a list and diagrams of where the items are to be put. please follow the directions on the padd I will check them as soon as you sign of of them While I diagnose the surgical suite and the main bio bed." The Emh said calmly to the others as he handed Padds to all of them as they dealt with different aspects of the triage center.

"Of course." Cunningham said as he took the Padd and gave it a once over. Everything in its proper place, meant the Medics needed to waste less time thinking and searching. Not too dissimilar from Engineering, really. "I'll get to work on getting things laid out in my region, doc. Shouldn't take too long, then you can give it the inspection."

"Listen up everyone, the EMH is in charge. So you follow his orders like you would anyone else. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can say job well done and know for the fact we did good." Mickey said out-loud to the group in the room.

"Let's do it." Aladdin said in short

"Thank you nurse! I believe all is great here. Please go check on our other wounded in medical for me please." The Emh said calmly and sincerely to Mickey. "And you all did and awesome job. And getting it all done in record time. I will let the captain know of our progress and how well all of you have done." The Emh tried praising them all. "Any personnel that have medical training will need to stay the other can return to there duties or take some time off till there normal shifts."

Cunningham gave a nod to the EMH. He'd be staying thru until the end, not because he had any special training, but because this was the sort of assignment you saw through until the end.
