Late Check In

Posted on Thu May 14th, 2015 @ 6:00am by Lieutenant Valeria Mordin & Lieutenant

Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: Primary Medical
Timeline: Before "Just A Simple Drop: Part 1"

Soft and quiet footsteps lead the most recent addition to the crew to the Medical wing, for the same reason it lead everyone else here prior. The transfer physical. Just to make sure she was tip top for ship shape. She wasn't in a hurry, but neither did she dread these. Truth be told, attention was attention, and she enjoyed being the center of it all... if but for a moment.

"Good greeting." she said with a soft smirk to the receptionist. "I'm a late transfer, and I'd like to get the entrance physical taken care of now that things have calmed down."

The doctor moved in from the office since he heard a voices from the waiting area. "Well hello there!" as he looked at both his new assistant and a new patient. "Please come in Lieutenant take a seat at the center bio bed." Antos said calmly to her. "Nice to meet you Lieutenant I am Dr. Antos Rittan." He went and grabbed his tools that were at biobed five and moved them to the main biobed. He laded then on a car next to the biobed. "Do you have your medical records Lieutenant?" As the master display light up and came to life as it read the new patent and started to display the readings.

"Please, just Valeria if you please. I've heard my rank so often these past few years that, while I am proud of it, it's starting to feel like my name." she admitted with a smirk as she handed over a small PaDD. "You should find everything in order. At least, that's what I keep hearing." as she took a short hop up to seat herself on the indicated biobed with a bit of a bounce through her form. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Doctor."

"Thank you!" He said quickly as as he took the padd and uploaded a copy into the computer records. then layed the padd down next to her. He started to compare the readings that the sensor array got and her medical record He quickly scanned her with his tricorder as well for comparison. "I see your our new assistant science officer." Antos said with a small smile.

She returned his smile with a small one of her own. "I am. An unexpected transfer, but to a larger and more prestigious craft class." she sat as still as she could during the scan, but still had that soft smile on her features. "It doesn't hurt that so far, everyone's been exceptionally friendly and welcoming."

"Unexpected??" Antos commented quickly. "Why you say that Lieutenant."Antos asked. "I am glad to hear it Lieutenant." As he compared all three scans from all three sources at once. "All looks good Lieutenant. Your clear for duty. Unless there is anything more?"Antos asked kindly to her.

"I say it because it was sudden and without notice." She confirmed with a smirk. "I understand that you'll also be filling in the role of ship's counselor. Good to know I'll be in good hands if I ever need to make it through something."

"Do you find it difficult, having to act as a healer for both body and soul?"

"At times especially if the patient is difficult but 99 percent of the time most are real accommodating about me making sure there 100%" Antos said simply. With a limited staff here in medical other then my new assistant in front here and myself and the EMH there is no other staff here at present.it will be a challenge but it will be fine. I hope?" Antos smile as he stood there confidently looking at her. "But I know in an emergency most crew that have any medical background can help or assist in medical. As long as they are not in key positions."

Valeria gave a nod, which caused her long ears to sway a bit, "Every pair of hands helps. I'm trained in basic medical, but nothing more extensive then the standard first aid routines. Fixing broken bones, easing pain, that sort. Back home, we also practice variant reliefs. Acupressure and acupuncture, though I imagine I'd get a talking to if I brought a few dozen pins with me on every mission." and she gave a soft giggle.

"So, if you do need me for anything, my office is down the hall, and two decks away."

"Thank you Valeria I will remember that!" Antos said with a polite smile. "Your clear to go and get settled in. See you around sometime."

With a smile she hopped down off the bed. Well, it was more a slinky slip then a hop, but she slid off the biobed in a way that only someone like her could do. "Anytime, and anytime." with that smile, she made her way out of medical.
