Small talk

Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: Councilor's quarters
Timeline: 45 minutes till take off

Mickey had heard there was a new councilor on-board. Maybe later he can discuss his issues with her without the rush but sense it was just a quick meet and greet, he would go meet her besides it would be considered rude if he didn't introduce himself. Mickey brought Acting Ensign Aladdin, the loyal Labrador along for this quick meet.

"Aladdin, work your magic boy." Mickey looked at him with Aladdin knowing his usual charm decided to run to the councilor's quarters. Unknowing if she was behind the door.

Aladdin politely sat down and let out a soft low howl for her to hear on the other side of the door. Mickey stood and smiled at that dog who was indeed a charmer of the ladies

"Silly dog" Mickey laughed

Mikela Reyes had just finished setting down her duffel bag in her quarters when she heard a sound just outside her door. She straightened up, letting out a soft sigh. For the trip, Mikela had braided her long, dark hair and wrapped the braid all the way around her head, pinned crown-like. A couple of small, very loose curls dripped from the updo. It had been a long ride, and she was tired. The long skirt of her simple dress swirling around her ankles, she limped her way to the door with the help of her polished wood cane and opened it.

"Oh," was her immediate response upon seeing what was on the other side. "You're handsome!"

Crouching down, Mikela held out her hand for Aladdin to sniff and started rumpling the dog's back, smiling brightly. "Who's a good boy! Who's a good boy? *You* are! Hi fella! Oh, you're gorgeous, you are. If I'd known you were coming, I'd have gotten a treat, yes I would, oh yes I would..."

She appeared to not notice Mickey at all.

Mickey couldn't help but smile as Aladdin's charm had worked as always he was indeed a lady's man. But for a dog, he was still a charmer. As he sees Councilor Reyes continue to pet him he was wondering if he would be noticed as he decided to say something "Councilor Reyes i presume?" Mickey spoke to her nicely as he just smiled at his dog

Mikela looked up from roughing up the dog's fur, her smile tired but true. "Yes, that's right. I just arrived though, so I'm not on duty quite yet. And you are?"

"Mickey McClane, it's a pleasure" He offered his hand to the woman.

Mikela took hold, not his hand, but just above his wrist in a locking grip as she rose from her crouch. "Lieutenant Mikela Reyes. Counselor Reyes now, I suppose. Thank you."

"So whats a knock out like you doing on a ship like this?" Mickey asked nicely

At that, Mikela could not help but laugh. "Do you mean 'knock out' literally? I could probably oblige," she answered with a twinkle in her eye.

Mickey just smirked, and grinned a bit "I mean i never seen a beautiful woman such as yourself down in this neck of the woods in my life. I do Apologize for flirting with the councilor and all that though, but i haven't seen someone as charming as you" Mickey said nicely with a little grin on his face.

"You haven't had much to go on," Mikela remarked wryly. She remained silent for just a moment, smiling. Then she asked plainly and with a little amusement in her voice, "So you are the ladies' man on board?"

"Well, Councilor i will say if i ever found the right one i would be a one woman man. It's been awhile sense i had been in a relationship with one but, if i ever found one again i would be her's for good" Mickey Wryly smiled and made sure not to take advantage of her besides the tension within himself was building but he did his best to keep himself in check

Mikela looked up at Mickey with a small, amused smile, still absently massaging the dog's ears gently. "That would be a yes. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I'm off the shelf."

Mickey smiled he knew that she would say something but made sure his approach was pure and non rude-like. "That wasn't my intention, all i am interested in is friendship. I mean is that OK?" Mickey asked nicely

Straightening up from the dog, Mikela gave Mickey a true smile. "I'm always willing to make a friend," she told him.

"Good i am glad we agree on that" Mickey smiled and went back to a change of subject. "After this mission i probably will need to come see you on a councilor's session" Mickey needed to get his demons out.

"Oh, of course." Mikela nodded, leaning slightly on her cane now. It had been a long trip. "I think I've got the rest of the day to settle in. The captain seems to be out on an away mission, but I have the feeling he'll agree to that. Tomorrow, bright and early, I'll be in my new office and taking appointments."

"I swear your going to be one of the most unique shipmate's i will have the pleasure of having fun with" Mickey Smiled as he prepared to take his leave. "I'll be back tomorrow, so we can get our appointments set up" Mickey said nicely as he took his leave and went back to work.
