Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: Danube, planet side.

[ON]

Before the mad scramble to re-board the Danube, Moriloth had skimmed, the transmitted Tac info. One word of it concerned her deeply, and she beamed it out through the subspace transmitter to USS Victory, =^=Jem'Hadar=^=.

Bertrand, Antos and Cor had finished the sweep of the last of the Remote habitats. Now they were jogging back to the runabout. Despite expecting to be ambushed by invisible attackers they made it to the vessel without incident.

Bertrand signaled the other two inside while he kept an eye out for any last minute attacks. Stepping finally inside and sealing the hatch he allowed himself a moment to relax as the ship lifted off the surface with all hands aboard, plus one.

Removing his mask he moved forward to where the Captain was waiting.

"Nothing to report," he said quickly. "No further survivours located. wind and rain have removed any chance of tracing them even if they did leave on foot. The Remote Habitats weren't even touched. The Machinery Bay was damaged, but not significantly. Likewise most of the science labs only had minimal damage. Food stores were dumped and left. If these guys were from a crashed ship they are still well stocked. It also doesn't make sense to trash the place. JH are ruthless and methodical. Random violence is not their thing. I think they were trying to mask their true purpose. They wanted something at the station and they don't want anyone to know it."

Elijah nodded. "Understood, we will get a better idea once we analyse the Logs." He said thinking about this situation and the potential implications they could spawn.

Cor took the moment to secure his tools and strap himself into the Danube. Space travel was always a gamble.

Valeria had taken the time to secure the survivor from the station, and had taken a seat next to him so that she could keep him calm. At the moment, the pair was engaged in meaningless idle chit chat. Favorite places back home, favorite foods, essentially anything and everything that wasn't related to the attack on the station that nearly cost him his life.

When she saw Antos return, she gave a smirk and motioned to the chair next to their survivor.

Antos took a seat next to the survivor and Valeria. He said nothing other then acknowledge her motioning to a chair next to her and the survivor.

"Has the Victory been warned of a possible JH presence?"

Utilizing suit hearing amplification, Moriloth heard and answered quietly over the intercom. "Victory has been notified... no details though." Given the heavy atmospheric obscursment, the pilot put the Danube into a steep climb and engaged full thrust.

Bertrand grabbed a support strut out of instinct as the Runabout began a steep fast climb, though the IDS were more than adequate to compensate. He watch the two scientists chatting as if in a park and shook his head. his skin still itched. He was missing some thing.

The runabout shot out of the thick atmosphere toward the waiting starship. =^=Danube to Victory, transmitting return codes now. We're heavy one passenger in unknown condition. Request instructions for landing and quarantine.=^=

"Runabout Danube this is Ensign Mitchels, Science Division. Approach landing pad zero four on normal vector. We have an isolation bed on the move. Will erect quarantine force field to effect transfer to isolation bed. Confirm." the return came from one of Valeria's co-workers. Minions, she'd call them, but she'd call them Minions lovingly.

Moriloth had learned her landing methods from a carrier fighter jockey, very fast and hard. In time, USS Victory's flight control would learn to employ sedate approach speeds along with angles. At least, she might when there was no potential threat of Jem'Hadar in the vicinity.

Bertrand looked over her shoulder, "Are her shields up? What's been going on?"

"Up or not, they'll be down in a moment. Unless you figured out a way to land a runabout while the proverbial carrier's shields are still up." Cor gave Bertrand that 'Really?' look. "Now stop cramping the girl and let her fly. I don't want to have to swim back to the Victory."

The Danube's inertial compensators strained a bit, and a few shuttlebay crewmen dived for cover. However, the runabout roared in with all the grace and finesse of your generic meteor.

"Smooth as ice," Cor said, after making sure he didn't lose his only good arm. "I'll go swap out the inertial dampeners. The ones on this shuttle are probably shot... now."

Once the sparks stopped flying and the Danube settled in, the hazy glow of a biologic quarantine field enveloped the shuttlecraft. Crew hands in science scrubs with containment gear on the ready ran a portable biobed next to the Danube to commence containment and carry of the questionable survivor. Valeria helped the scientist from the outpost out and onto the biobed. Once he was loaded, the biobed erected its own personal containment field, which would hold as long as the refugee remained laying down.

Then the crew hand took a look inside, "If he's a containment risk, you'll all need to go through decontamination." the science crew hand mentioned, "Unless you know on a more specific level what it is we should be looking for sirs?"

Elijah stepped out. "We don't think he is a contamination risk Ensign." The Commander then hopped down to the Deck. "Bertrand with me, Valeria and Antos see to our guest." The Commander looked at his Team. "Cor, get the Runabout back to top condition and Moriloth get some chow."

Antos looked at the captain I dont believe so captain. contamination is nill." he said with a small smile.

"On it." Cor said as he hopped off the Danube and began his assessment of the exterior. The inertial compensator was close to being blown, "Total swap job, easier and quick. Should have you up and running in about an hour." he estimated, and then reached into the shuttle and retrieved his tools.

"Sir." Valeria said, while the ensign gave a nod and stood down once the Commander gave the proverbial all clear, though the crew hands still tended to the refugee. The rabbitess fell in line with her 'minions' and the refugee.

Antos looked over the new patient that he acquired. Antos picked up on a stray thought not sure where it came from. "Minions???" He took a moment to pinpoint it but he failed it was there and gone a fast.He rarely picked up on things like that but this time he had. it was a bit unnerving. he briefly shook his head. then refocused on his patient.

"A term of endearment to the crewhands who serve under my supervision." the rabbitess explained as they were on the move. "I'm impressed you heard that. Most empaths have difficulty with Ts'usugi thoughts."

"Sir," Bertrand acknowledged, falling in step behind the CO.

No sooner did Lt. Cuprum give his response did he perceive Moriloth's imaginary Klingon leaning close to his face, ~It is UNFORTUNATE that we did not encounter Jem'Hadar to FIGHT!~

"You may yet get your chance," he muttered out loud, ignoring the startled look of the medical ensign next to him.

Antos stayed with the patient as they walked alone. "If you need to lean on me please don't hesitate." Antos said calmly.
