|Personal History||Jordan Posey was born to Emma Posey on the Federation colony world of Gorgon IV. Jordan’s father wasn’t around when he was small, so much to the point that his mother never even told him who he really was. Gorgon IV was rather harsh world but due to it’s very odd geological make up, made it the perfect place for Emma to conduct her research. She was an independent researcher and completely obsessed with her career, she had no desire to actually be a mother and as soon as Jordan was self sufficient she left him on his own.
Jordan learned to fend for himself from a young age. By the time he was eight, he was cooking for himself and spending most nights in their house alone. A grizzled Klingon warrior by the name of K’Taral saw what was going on with Jordan and decided to do what he could do for the small human. Despite his home life, Jordan was an athletic and inquisitive child. K’Taral took the young child’s energy and channeled it into Klingon martial arts, giving him some much needed structure in his life.
Jordan excelled at the martial arts, although he struggled through most of middle school from an academic standpoint. By the time that he reached high school, Jordan was the best student in K’Taral’s class. Jordan started to gain an interest in tactics and warfare, studying ancient battles of humanity as well as several other civilizations. Eventually, he branched out into studying combat tactics of the Federation as well as the Klingons, Romulans, and the Bajoran Resistance Fighters. This eventually led Jordan to decide to enroll in Starfleet Academy and he was sponsored by K’Taral.
|Service Record||Jordan struggled through some of the science courses at the academy, although he did enjoy the psychology courses, so much that he actually considered changing from the tactical track to counselling. However, that changed and he decided to stick with his gut instincts and remain on the tactical path.
Jordan excelled in not only tactical but security as well. He spent extra time on the practice range, steadily improving his scores with handheld weapons. Eventually, he became very proficient with the weapons. Jordan kept up his study of the Klingon martial arts as well. He also joined the academy archery and swim teams. Jordan graduated in the top 10% of his class.
His first assignment was on the Prometheus class USS Iowa. During a patrol mission, the Prometheus engaged several rogue members of the Breen, resulting in the death of her chief tactical/security officer. The ship was boarded and Jordan was unstrumental in fighting off the boarding party. Once they were repelled, Jordan helped the ship escape.
This led to his promotion to Assistant Chief Tactical Officer. He seved in that capacity for another year before command transferred him to the Victory.
