The family miss you....

Mission: Awakening
Location: Security Chief's office.
Timeline: Current.

Kevin sat, head propped up by the palm of his hand, reading the report on the PADD in front of him. He suddenly became aware that someone was watching him, and it was a familiar presence.

Without looking up he asked "What do you want Salvador?"

"Very good Lieutenant....very good!" came the reply "that was all of about a second before you became spatially aware."

"We were taught well" Kevin replied, now looking up and seeing the man leaning casually against the wall.

"Apparently you were a good pupil" Salvador answered.

"What do you want?" Kevin asked again.

"The 'family' miss you and would like to see you again" Salvador answered.

"I'm a bit busy just now" Kevin replied "I have a duty to perform."

"Yes, and possibly not so much here" Salvador replied.

"What do you mean?" Kevin asked "not so much here?"

"Well, I spoke with your Captain, explained the situation, and he agreed that I come see you immediately and..." Salvador answered, leaving the last part open ended.

"I see, and it has to be right now, it can't wait" Kevin asked.

"Look at my face" Salvador replied "what do you think?"

Kevin saw that Salvador's face was serious.

"How long have I got?" Kevin asked.

"About an hour, my ships in the hanger bay" Salvador replied.

"Ok, I'll meet you there in an hour" Kevin replied.

He watched Salvador go, then after a few moments he called out, "Karadis!"

Karadis popped her head around the door frame and said "You bellowed..."

Kevin took in a deep breath then let out a long sigh as he ruffled his hair "Yes, I need you to do something for me....."
