Reporting In

Sitting in his temporary quarters on the Salvation, Seamus thought back on the time since his previous billet had been recalled for an extended retrofit. Most of his crewmates had already been reassigned to other posts, but he decided to use up some of his saved up time off to think about where he wanted to take his career. He enjoyed Security, but felt he was ready for a different challenge. When he heard that an Operations position was available on the Victory, he took it as a sign.

He looked over at the chronometer on the table, he got up and went to the transporter room. Stepping onto the transporter pad, he nodded to the technician.

"Permission granted, please have him report to the Captain as soon as he is aboard." The Commas officer said.

"Understood." The tech replied, nodding towards Seamus.

"Thank you, Chief. Engergize." Seamus said as the Salvation's transporter faded out. Once he'd rematerialized on the Victory, he strode off of the pad and headed towards the door, knowing his gear would be transported directly to his quarters.

In the hallway, Seamus tapped a couple of commands into the panel find the Captain's current location.

The Interface listed the Captain as currently located in the ships library.

Seamus followed the blinking lights to the library. It didn't take him long to find the Captain once in the library and headed over to the table to where the Captain sitting. "Excuse me, sir. I'm Lieutenant Seamus MacDonald reporting for duty."

"Ah yes welcome." Elijah said as he looked over to the new Officer. He offered him the vacant seat opposite. "Forgive the informal nature of this meeting but I wasn't expecting you so soon."

"Thank you, sir." Seamus said as he sat down. "Informal meetings can be a good change of pace, now and again. I wasn't able to gain too much information on our mission. From what I understand we're going to the Trill Science Academy to help with an investigation?"

Elijah nodded. "Yes there are reports of a spy embedded within the academy leaking secrets to the highest bidder." The Captain sat back. "Some of which could be used against the Federation."

Seamus shook his head. "I had thought that we'd moved passed this sort of thing, but I was wrong. Hopefully we'll be able to find the spy and they choose to go without incident. That being said, I take it we still want to prepared for anything, sir?"

"Very much so." Elijah commented. "You and I will be staying on the Ship to monitor the situation and also to prepare for any eventuality."

Seamus nodded. "Understood. Is there any area we should be focusing on, or just keep an eye on everything?"

"Everything." Elijah commented. "Lets contain whatever we find before it leaves Trill."

Seamus nodded. "Understood, sir. Will I have time to unpack and get somewhat settled before my duty shift?"

"Of course." Elijah said politely to him. "That will be all I think you are dismissed Lieutenant."
