Taking Precaution.

Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: Mickey McClane's Quarters
Timeline: After Party gone Awry.

Mickey McClane the operations officer went back to his quarters. He felt disgusted with himself intending to throw himself out of an airlock. He laid on the comfy couch in his quarters with Aladdin by his side not leaving him alone.

"Mickey, don't ever do that again" Aladdin said as he looked up to his friend. "No more, no more romulan ale for awhile thank goodness for Bertrand at least he is not totally bad" the Acting dog said in short with his new collar.

"Don't worry boy, i know i will probably have to have a medical exam and be re-evaluated with a psychological test as well, boy Councilor Reyes, will chew my head off" Mickey sat down on the floor to his friend.

"Well, more then likely as a per-caution, they will have to confiscate your stuff. Bertrand has your special phaser and you still have the re-charge pack" Aladdin said to him.

"Well, i better cooperate then my old friend but at least they can't take you away. Acting Ensign Aladdin" Mickey just smiled and hugged his old friend as he went to the desk and grabbed his power pack and phaser that he was assigned to out and put it on the desk.

"You hungry, mutt?" Mickey as his dog nicely

"Oh, yeah. I am!" Aladdin smiled as he went to the replicator to fetch himself some lunch and Aladdin too

The sound of the door alarm clearly indicated the arrival of the security officer. Having hear what had happened Sela was trying to be careful. No telling what could happen with someone who had tried walking out of an airlock. " Lieutenant Mickey, it's Lieutenant Sela. I'm here to collect your phaser. " She said calmly into the alarm.

The alarm was loud. It hurt Aladdin's ears "AHH!!!!!" Aladdin said out loud. "Computer, Shut off the damn noise!" Mickey said as the alarm was deactivated and turned around to see Lieuteant JG Wakeman. He didn't argue or say a word as he grabbed the recharge pack and his sidearm and handed it to them nicely.

"Sorry that this has to be this way Lieutenant Wakemen" Mickey said nicely to her

Sela gave a smile as she took the phaser and put it in her holster. At least he seemed to be physically stable.

"Your unique, I have never met someone who was a klingon-romulan hybrid. I have heard about human's and klingons. Cool, i never knew" Mickey said nicely to the Lieutenant.

" There not that many of us, but we do exist. " Sela replied politely. " Do you mind if I sit down." She asked looking at the sofa.

"Not at all have a seat." Mickey said nicely as he offered a chair for her. "Would you like something to drink, i know that your part romulan and like romulan ale but......" Mickey wryly smiled but still offered a drink from the replicator as he got iced tea.

" I'm on duty Mickey I'll have an orange juice." Sela replied slightly as she noticed the dog

"How do you do, Lieutenant Wakeman. I am Acting Ensign Aladdin. Don't be werided out by the fact i can talk it was Ensign Morolith that made me this collar." Aladdin smiled and offered his paw.

For some people, a dog that could speak English would be considered something odd, but the amount of things Sela had had to deal with this was almost normal. She took the dogs paw and gave him a smile." Hello there Aladdin. Have you been looking after Mickey?"

"Yes Ma'am, i have been making sure this stubborn human has been under my watch. He hasn't gone anywhere at all. I sense your here for some bad news" Aladdin said with concern as mickey came and gave her the OJ.

"So Lieutenant, what's the bad news?" Mickey said as he sat down on the couch with Aladdin near Sela

" Well Mickey. After your little incident, you're to be confined to quarters with a security officer present at all times until the counselor can evaluate your mental health." The hybrid said as she took a sip from her drink.

"Sorry, Mick." Aladdin laid his head on the hybrids leg waiting to be rubbed.

Sela gave the dog a smile as she rubbed him behind the ears.

"So, since i am confined for now. Do you think that maybe you can drop by to say hello every so often" Mickey just needed a friend from the outside because even though right now. He needs a friend

" Off course. I'll be with you for a few hours until I'm relieved. So don't worry Mikey your not going to be alone." Sela said trying to give him a reassuring smile.

Mickey smiled back at the officer, just knowing of reassurance that he won't be alone."Thank you, i do appreciate that." Mickey warmed up to the hybrid.

" No problem. The crew going to help you get through this Mickey." Sela said as she continued to rub Aladdin ears.

"Oh yeah, you hit the sweet spot Sela." Aladdin's adrenal glands were up as she hit the sweet spot on his ears.

Sela smiled as she keep rubbing the dogs ears before stopping to take another sip from her drink.

Mickey had noticed a ring on her finger an engagement ring from the looks of it. "Who's the lucky guy or gal? I see your engaged to be married?" Mickey made short simple conversation to her.

" Her names D’Annann. She's taken a counseling position back at the academy." Sela replied feeling it was better not to mention her girlfriend was a Romulan. True D'Annann family were refugees and she was the sweetest girl in the universe, but there was still prejudice against them.

"Well, I do hope I get to meet her. I mean it doesn't matter who it is. Just as long as we have someone to have and hold and love" Mickey smiled as he drank some of his tea

" Indeed I hope you do get to meet her . I've been waking up in the night and panicking that she's not there. It hard to forget waking up next to the woman you love." Sela replied smiling to herself at how silly she could be.

"It doesn't matter, besides you should love whomever it is. I know, i had it but lost it." Mickey blinks hard to hold back the tears but it failed as one fell from his eye. "Damn it. Sorry." Mickey said as he dried his tear.

" No it not your fault. I didn't know you'd lost someone." The hybrid replied.

"Hopefully, i can find some sort of way that councilor can guide me through so i can find my own way back. Because i have a lot to live for. Look maybe if it is ok when i am clear can we go for a spacewalk? Right now, i need a friend just someone to be around with. To talk to." Mickey looked at her as he extended his hand of friendship to her. At least for the Lieutenant, she wouldn't be alone as she would have a friend as well to be around with.

" I'll need to clear it with a few people, but if we get the go ahead I'll keep you safe." Sela replied giving the man's hand a gentle squeeze.

Mickey just smiled for a minute the thought of her keeping mickey safe was cool, but he had this to say. "I thought i was suppose to protect you, your a Lieutenant JG, i know you have a lot of experience, but i thought i was suppose to make sure you were safe too" Mickey just chuckled a bit.

" Well we can keep each other safe." Sela said with a smile on her face.

"Agreed" Mickey smiled

Sela returned the smile as the door alarm sounded again. Her replacement must be here to take over from here. " Well it looks like my shifts over. Aladdin will you take care of Mickey until i get back?"

"Of course, just don't be gone too long" Aladdin said nicely

" I won't." Came they hybrids reply.

Before she could go Mickey grabbed her by the hand. But not to restrain her he then closed his hand to hers but only for a moment and asked this to her. "Would you care for some dinner?" Mickey asked nicely though she knew she loved her lover but maybe strike up a friendship off duty.

" Okay." Sela replied having barely held back her close combat training. " Your quarters or the crew galley? "

"Well, Sense i am confined for now. I guess here for now? Do you have any choice" He turned to look at her letting her go but maintaining a level of maturity because he will make sure not to make her uncomfortable. Besides he has to regain his composure but at the same time making her feel comfortable.

" Well I'll see you when i get off duty." Sela replied as she turned to leave. " Take care of him Aladdin." She said as she stepped out of the door.

"Bye Sela." Aladdin smiled as the two saw her off
