Posted on Sat Apr 8th, 2017 @ 10:10am by Captain Elijah Michaels & Lieutenant JG Elliot Keller & Commander Bertrand Cuprum & Commander Cor Cordale & Lieutenant Commander Ziyal Tajor & Lieutenant Sara'draphia T'eseri & Captain Allen Jones & Lieutenant JG Scotty Kayne & Lieutenant Valeria Mordin

Mission: The Trial of Cor Cordale
Location: Bridge, USS Victory
Timeline: 09:00 hours

Elijah stepped out of his Ready Room and onto the Bridge of Victory. The Captain calmed down since the meeting on Starbase 117. Right now he had new orders.

"Captain on the Bridge!" An Ensign called at the back as everyone snapped to attention.

"As you were." Elijah said as he made a line for his Chair. "Well Number One does it feel good to be back in your seat?"

Cmdr Cuprum just harumphed. He wasn't pleased at having he Captain's chair and did not need reminding.

"I'll be fine, provided I get to stay here. I have swapped chairs more often than clean uniforms on this ship."

Elijah Chuckled. "Mister Kilbane please inform Operations we are ready to detach and proceed."

"Aye Sir, informing Operations now" Kevin answered. After a few moments he continued "Operations have replied that we're clear to detach our moorings and proceed Captain."

The Captain looked at Ziyal and Elliot. "I trust the two of you are prepared for our trip?"

"Aye sir." Ziyal said from her mission specialist console. She had a photographic memory, and the information about the Jennari and their destination pulled up on her console.

Elliot nodded. "Diplomatic Detachment is good to go Sir."

"Good, I'll be relying on your judgement." He said smiling at the two of them. "Cor how are my Engines holding up?"

"Humming and drumming. We're about as good as we're going to get outside of a dockyard, but she's holding up well." the Thux reported. Most of the damage from their scuffle outside the Archives had been patched up. "Give credit to the team, I just yelled and drank coffee sir."

The Captain nodded and grinned at the Thux. He then turned his attention to his CMO. "Nice to have you with us again Doctor, Sickbay isn't the same without you."

Sara smiled, "it is a pleasure to be here Captain. Medical is ready for anything you decide to run into"

He nodded at the Doctor before glancing to Science. "I trust Science has been chomping at the bit to see what our new hosts have in store?"

Valeria's ears twitched gently, "It's bad luck to have expectations before seeing something new. Rarely can the real thing live up to them. However, that being said sir... yes. Quite eager." the rabbitess admitted.

Possible Tag Lin

"How are the Marines holding up Captain?" Elijah asked his new Marine CO.

"Itching for some fresh air and a fight." AJ said with a grin. He loved playing into the stereotype everyone had of Marines.

With a final nod he glanced at Helm. "Mister Kayne I believe you know the way to Niron 5?"

"Yes, sir, setting course now." Kayne said as his fingers flew across the panel. "Course set."

Elijah looked around at the Crew on the Bridge. They'd been together for a long time most of them, he trusted them. The new faces he could tell were eager to show that they belonged. He was humbled as a CO to have a Crew like this. "Engage."

Once they had gotten clear of the Starbase and had set course for Niron 5 the Captain began to look at the Crew. "Alright Senior Staff meeting in an hour, Observation Lounge." He said as he got up from his Seat. "It's time to discuss where Starfleet are sending us on this trip down the yellow brick road."

"I trust that's a literary reference." Valeria posited.

"Considering how the last few months have gone....He might be deadly serious Ma'am." Elliot said to Val as he watched the Captain saunter off to his Ready Room.

The rabbitess gave Elliot a glance and a smirk, reflectionless eyes sliding over to him, "Oh of that I have no doubt, but due to my people's resemblance to rabbits I've familiarized myself with references in literature to rabbits. Masonry... I'm not as familiar with."

"Yellow Brick road?" Scotty asked.

Ziyal piped up, "It's a reference to a book written about five hundred years ago called, 'The Wizard of Oz', in it, a young woman swept up into a fantasy land must follow a yellow brick road to reach a wizard who can help her get back home."

Valeria considered everything, then gave a nod, "Whimsical yet ridiculous. Definitely human." and she gave a soft smile. "A book you say? I'll have to look it up."

"Same here, I've never heard of it." Scotty said, looking back from the helm. "There's gotta be a holonovel of it somewhere."

Elijah chuckled as he approached his Ready Room. "I'll know what to get most of you for your Birthdays now then..." The Captain smirked as he looked towards the door. "Number One the Bridge is yours."
