The prolonged spacewalk

Mission: Commanding the Elements
Location: Outside the Victory while warping to the planet
Timeline: Sometime after the meeting.

Mickey McClane, the operations officer needed to go cool off so he brought his dog Acting Ensign Aladdin with him. They were finally going to go out for that spacewalk he wanted to do. He arrived at airlock 7 alpha. It was there he got to the airlock with two environmental suits. One was custom made for Aladdin. Mickey suited up Aladdin first while he took off the doggy collar just so he can get suited up. When he finished he put the collar back on then he suited himself up for the walk.

"Bertrand, i know you can hear me. I'm going outside the ship for that walk i said i was going to do. So please don't come after me for a rescue." Mickey said as he put the helmet on and locked it in place. "Besides, I'll be all right i need cool off" Mickey said as he looked at the camera with both Aladdin and himself in the airlock and activated the gravity shoes on Aladdin's suit and mickey's as well.

Mickey with Aladdin closed the airlock and depressurized the room. the suits protected them from the vacuum of space. "If i am going out on the ship and see the warp tunnel, at least it's with you boy" Mickey said as he gave his dog a hug.

"I'd give you a kiss, but i don't feel like getting sucked out into space and all that" Aladdin just smiled and the room was complete of depressurization and the outside doors open and Aladdin and Mickey walked outside the airlock.

The U.S.S. Victory, Sovereign class, was warping to the planet which would take sixteen hours to get there and begin the rescue mission. Outside her were two people Lieutenant Mickey McClane and Acting Ensign Aladdin. The two of them were enjoying the spacewalk but when stress starts to happen he decided to take an alternative route. Out in space it was just the two of them a man and his dog.

"How are you doing, Aladdin?" Mickey asked as he walked calmly just enjoying the view of the ship and the blue tunnel of the warp drive.

"Not well, Mick" Aladdin said as he was getting dizzy.

"Try not to look at the stars, Keep your eyes on the hull." Mickey said to his dog giving him reassurance that he was going to be OK.

Aladdin retained focus keep his eyes off the tunnel but enjoying his walk with his friend.

"You know what as much as i like our program clear lake park, looking at space really is incredible. You could see anything anywhere with your imagination. Maybe one day, we could see the Enterprise-A again." Aladdin said to his friend remembering a visit to the Second Constitution class Starship named Enterprise.

"You and me both mutt. But the one ship out there i want to stand on is the first Enterprise. I don't believe that with what happened many years ago. The fact is we never went back to check and find the hulk. Who knows, but we can imagine it in some other timeline that it actually happened and we were there." Mickey smiled as he and Aladdin walked calmly around the saucer section of the ship.

"Maybe we did? There are always possibilities?" Aladdin hadn't thought of that. Mickey and Aladdin sat down for a minute near the deflector dish as they didn't mess with anything.

"You know boy, i don't think right now, we should discuss the Enterprise situation with Bertrand. One we are on a grave important mission. Two, maybe later. Three, something still bothers me that when we get there that we will have the toughest challenge ahead. The universe is not safe out here. But i don't intend to go back home and crawl under my bed. I know almost killing myself was stupid, but i don't intend to harm anyone on the ship, besides out here boy even though right now we are suppose to be inside, out here we can have are talks." Mickey looked at the camera, he know the commander is watching. He moved the camera angle up to where he can see the faces of the Acting Ensign and the Lieutenant.

"Bertrand, right now i needed to cool off and take him with me. I know im under watch but at least no one is getting hurt of it i know i will have to deal with you later but right now it's just me and my dog time." Mickey smiled at the camera to let him know he was OK.

"Don't worry, Commander. If He try's anything I'll hold him down" Aladdin smiled at the camera and returned it to the front looking out into space.

"If only i had the chance to meet that crew. I sure wished Jackie-boy was here. It would make my day to have my friend back." Mickey thought of Jack, a friend back at the Academy he would have loved to have been here. "To the Enterprise, and that crew. May their memories forever live long and prosper." Mickey said proudly with Aladdin agreeing. "Indeed" he said in short as the two just sat outside the ship for a good long while.

"Mick, you do know we have to go back inside eventually." Aladdin looked at him.

"I know, i got the operations office team working on it. I don't need to be distracted and take it out on the crew. Let's consider this a therapy moment. Just to relax besides i got the acting ensign with me." Mickey chuckled as he looked at the awe and wonder of space with the black Labrador.

"Mickey, what if one day. Someone finds the Old Enterprise? She'll be back, someday." Aladdin looked at the view of space.

"Who knows what the future will bring, but i hope that one day you and i Aladdin will be there on the old ship" Mickey said as he just sat there and enjoyed the view.
