Mission:
Shoreleave and Repairs
Location: In Orbit of New Kingston and the Starbase
Elliot had rather an interesting briefing to attend at Government House on the Planet of New Kingston. It seemed fairly straightforward until you realise you are going with the Captain and the XO.
The Ensign hurried to the Transporter Room to catch up his superiors.
"Oh my I am so sorry Commanders." The Ensign said apologising to the two Senior Officers.
"No worries, Mr. Keller." Michelle replied. "We certainly would have waited." she added as she looked at her PaDD. "So, what are they wanting to discuss with us?"
The Commander stepped onto the Platform. "I don't know for sure. It I did see some Bajoran Ships docked at the Starbase so it could be to do with that." Elijah said with a shrug.
"Bajorans?" Michelle asked. "I guess this is sort of around their turf as well. Wonder what they'd want with us, then."
The Ensign hopped onto the Platform. "Might have something to do with that Colony they set up just after the War." He commented before keeping his mouth shut and waiting.
"Colony?" Michelle asked. She wasn't aware of any such arrangement, though she also hadn't quite graduated when the war actually ended, so her memory may be just failing her a bit."
Elliot nodded at the Commander, "2378 if memory serves part of some joint enterprise to better relations among the Bajorans, Vulcans and Starfleet."
Elijah looked back at the two of them. "Yes it was designed to demonstrate that varying cultures could live together in perfect cohesion, very successful actually." He said to them both. "Even the Vulcan High Command were impressed by the news."
"As impressed as most Vulcans get anyway." Michelle said.
The three of them were soon beamed to the meeting, not entirely sure to make of it. It must be important if it required Ensign Keller to attend. But like all good Starfleet Officers you follow orders and do as you're told.
