Launch Prep

Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: Shuttlebay, USS Victory

[ON]

While the landing party assembled gear and organized, Moriloth went straight to the Danube. She donned a full, plated space suit in the event they were forced down and she had to go outside in dangerous winds.

Setting her helmet aside in the cockpit, she began powering up systems. "Computer, preconfigure deflector optimization against electromagnetic fields."

==SPECIFY WAVELENGTH RANGES==

"Unknown. Optimize to protect Danube systems." A beep confirmed her instruction. "Computer, keep phaser capacitors at full charge as power allows."

==THIS IS NOT AN ALERT SITUATION==

"We might need to divert emergency power to shields or propulsion. I won't be caught unable to fire weapons." Again, the computer beeped confirmation.

She activated intraship, "Moriloth to Quartermaster..."

=/Go ahead, Ensign.\=

"Can you provide us with extra survival equipment in case we are forced down and isolated?"

=/Can do. I'll have a cart loaded up. Your landing party can cherry pick what they want.\=

"Thank you, Quartermaster."

Elijah was there looking at the Runabout, sure he was breaking Regulations by doing this but if it was nothing then no harm was to be done. "Michelle I want you and Mickey to monitor our progress, have Sinclair standby with the Marines incase something is wrong."

"Aye, sir." Michelle replied. "Bridge to Marines, get yourselves on standby." she called out.

The next person on the deck was the Science officer, Valeria. "Good to know I wasn't the only one who thought of a hostile environment." she mentioned to Moriloth, seeing that the rabbitess was also sporting an environment suit, though at the moment she wasn't wearing the helmet. She carried that under an arm, along with a small case of equipment. Never know when you'll need to take some readings or a scan. Her helmet differed from the standard issue in that it had two swept-back regions on the top for her ears to slide into and back. Contoured, rather then two radar dishes standing out on the top of her head. With a simple nod of greeting towards Moriloth, she boarded the shuttlecraft and took her seat. "I've brought the latest readings off of the atmosphere's el'mag spectrum." she gave a few taps on the PaDD in her case, once she fished it out. "For shield optimization, of course."

The pilot eagerly borrowed the PaDD and downloaded the new data. "Computer, fine tune shield optimizations!"

The next on the deck was hard to tell at first, since it looked like an armored autonomous drone than a person. Solid plates, illuminators, and definitely not Starfleet standard issue EVA style. Though, the lack of helmet betrayed the wearer's identity. It was Cordale, and given his somewhat off-standard physiology, having an environment suit tailored to him almost seemed par for the course. "Oh, glad to know I'm not the only one that thought of the hostile environment." he said with a smirk as he came aboard the shuttle. The heavy foot-falls of the suit sounded as he came aboard, not seeming to be too impeded by the obvious solid construction of his custom build.

"Impressive design." Valeria complimented once the Thux was aboard.

"Thanks, made it myself." Cordale said with a smirk, though he quickly got to his seat and secured himself and his case of standard tools. Whereas his suit was bulky and built by his own hand the Thux took a moment to enjoy the fact that Ms. Mordin's environment suit was, well, probably designed by a fellow man who knew that one day, a woman would wear it.

Elijah looked at the Assembled Crew so far, "From what I understand there will be no need for EV Suits boys and girls."

Valeria gave a nod, "Then, with a minor delay, I'll be ready once I remove the suit." and the rabbitess gave a soft smile as she excused herself to remove the overlaying outfit.

Though, Cor shook his head, "With respects, if there's external damage to the outpost's comm array, or anything else that'd require a certain engineer to hop outside in that none-too-friendly atmosphere, if it's nasty enough to disrupt communications from a ship of the line to the surface I'd rather be over protected than not. Though, for the ride down, I'll take it off and stow it." a smirk, "She's self-assembling, after all."

Cor stepped off the shuttle, and gave a tap or three along the left forearm of the Thux-Built suit. There were a few clicks and snaps heard as various joints disconnected and retracted. The suit all but pulled itself off of the engineer. He gave a step out of the open shell, which now could fold in on itself since there was no soft and squishy inhabitant. All folded, the EVA suit was around the size of a bulky suitcase, which Cordale picked up and brought with him back aboard the shuttle.

Valeria returned presently once she had returned her EVA suit for recycling. "Apologies for the delay." as she retook her seat.

"Very well, we are all present and correct." Elijah said with a chuckle. "For all we know it could just be a glitch in their Comm's Unit and nothing too serious, however I still want us to all be on our guard just in case." The Commander looked at his Shuttle Team. "Remember there should be 15 people in that Outpost."

The resident rabbitess gave a nod, "Fifteen." she repeated in a definite tone, mostly to let the Commander know that she heard him correctly.

Elijah looked around. "Any questions? Speak now or forever hold your peace?"

Cor actually raised his prosthetic hand, "Odds of a hostile force being responsible?"

"Unknown, though given the remoteness of this Planet and the lack of Sensor Activity I doubt you would find it so easily." Elijah said to Cor. "But we can't rule that possibility out."
