Unexpected Company

Mission: Debts to be settled......
Location: In Orbit of the Planet
Timeline: Running along side the Away Team Mission

With the Away Team firmly organised and the Rinabout beginning her descent into the Atmosphere, it just left the Crew in Orbit to Monitor the situation.

Felix stood at Tactical and checked his Console. "The Away Team is beginning their Descent now Commander."

"Continue monitoring their descent. Ensure we keep a channel open at all times. I've got a sick feeling about this. Too sick to be just paranoia." she said, wondering how the hell she didn't just stop her CO from going down there.

"Confirmed commander, i am keeping an eye on them." Mickey said from the back station as a junior officer was at ops while Ensign Aladdin stood next to mickey

"Is there anything nearby we have to worry about?" Michelle inquired. "Hostiles? Non-hostiles? Storms that could affect our communication systems?"

"Not that i know of yet commander. But, But for now we should go to yellow alert and put up the shields until further notice. I don't feel like getting pot shots at today" Mickey said to the commander with a cautious look on his face with Aladdin looking at her too in agreement.

Felix then looked at the Commander. "Ma'am I am picking up an unusual Energy Signature just entering the System." The Warrant Officer examined his Console. "No...That cannot be right.....The Energy pattern?"

"Origin, Mr. Kilvarn?" Michelle asked, now a little confused herself.

"It's a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship Commander." Felix said to the XO.

"What the hell are they doing in this area?" Michelle asked to herself aloud. "Shields up, red alert."

Mickey thought to himself i thought we defeated them. But, his security measures went up as he raised the shields and went to red alert =A=Battle Stations, all hands to battle stations.=A= Mickey hit his communicator as he called the ship to battle stations. "Commander, shields are up torpedo bay's loading up Phasers are on stand by." Mickey said as he looked at the back up ops panel of the ships diagram.

"Hold fire for the moment. Open a channel to the Jem'Hadar ship."

"Channel open, Commander" Mickey said as he opened a channel

Elliot came on to the Bridge of the Victory and noticed the Jem'Hadar Ship on the View Screen. "Oh my is that a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship?" He asked out loud.

"It sure is. Michelle said." Upon hearing that the hailing frequencies were open, she stood up and straightened her uniform. "Unidentified Jem'Hadar ship, this is Lieutenant Commander Michelle Bartlett of the Federation Starship Victory. We are on a peaceful mission in this sector. Please state your business."

The image of a Vorta came up on the Screen. "Commander, I am the Vorta Kayvan speaking for the Dominion and this Vessel." The small male stood on the viewer and looked at Michelle. "We are here because this is Dominion Space, we have a right to be here."

The turbolift doors to the Bridge opened, allowing Brenda to step out. The ship's sensor data had been fed down to Marine Country, and when they realised what they had, Brenda had figured her place was now on the Bridge. Correction. Her place should be with the damned Away Team. Instead, she was stuck on the ship, with a Marine Company that could do nerry a damn about it.

Stepping up behind the Commander, Brenda took a look over their new guest. The reports had listed Vorta as highly intelligence and cunning. Not to be under-estimated. If they were simply facing some Jem'Hadar - just, she thought with a soft breath - it would be one thing. A Vorta was something else altogether.

"Mr. Kayvan, I can assure you we offer no threat. We are simply responding to a request for help in this area and will not be very long." she said, hoping to avoid a conflict. Oh man was she going to give it to Michaels when he got back.

The Vorta paused and nodded. "Commander Bartlett, I assume that a Sovereign Class Ship is not under the Command of a Lieutenant Commander normally?" The Vorta certainly knew about Starfleet at least. "So may I speak with your Captain?"

Aladdin walked up to the command seat. He sensed Danger but he made no sudden movements as he looked at Commander Bartlett with those big brown eyes of his not making any movements but to let her know it could be a trap.

Michelle took a deep breath, she sort of wanted to chuck the Captain out the airlock right now for this. "Our captain is currently unavailable at the moment. I am in command and I speak for this crew. Is there something I can help you with?"

The turbo lift opened again as Sela stepped out onto the bridge. Her brown eyes darted to the screen and turned to daggers at the Vorta on the screen. She still had the scars from the attack on earth as well as a few Jem'Hadar blades. Without saying a word she swiftly moved to the tactical console reliving the ensign on duty and took her place behind it. Give her one excuse and she'd blow them away.

Felix moved to one side. "Just as things were getting interesting." The Warrant Officer said as he moved to one side and moved to one of the rear stations.

The Vorta shook his head. "I am afraid that we must inform you that this Planet belongs to the Dominion and that a Federation Incursion is not acceptable."

Mickey noticed the New Junior Grade officer at tactical. He was keeping a monitor on the defense systems and all other systems just encase. He decided to send a text message to her just to make sure to be prepared for the worst. "Don't fire, unless the commander orders it or if they fire. Besides, there's no way to get around this unless there is no other alternative" Said the text message as Mickey kept ready to do his job at the Backup Ops

Sela didn't show ay signs of acknowledgment as she typed in the word understood in the reply. No sense in letting the Vorta know what was going on. Her mind was running through were on if there were other dominion ships in the area. Given they attacked in packs it was highly likely there were two others somewhere close.

Kayvan then sighed. "Commander I suggest that you break off your Orbit and leave the Sector, and we can end this peacefully." The Vorta then leant forward towards the viewer. "Otherwise we will be forced to take action."

"Vorta, I have a team down there that has responded to a call for help. I need to extract my team and then I will be happy to break orbit as necessary." Michelle replied. She wasn't leaving the group down there to die. And certainly NOT to be captured by the Jem'Hadar. But something seemed entirely off about this and she couldn't figure out what.

Mickey didn't turn around as he was monitoring a weapons charge from the enemy ship. Not reacting as he nodded to some stuff he couldn't let himself show weakness.

"Very Well Commander, we will give you time to extract your people." Kayvan said to her, clearly aware that she had suspected something was happening. "You do not have very long." He said before shutting off the view screen.

"Commander the Jem'Hadar Ship has turned around and is heading to Warp." Felix said at the back of the bridge.

"Commander Bartlett. I request permission to lead a small away team down to the planet to help out the others, with your permission, Sir." Mickey as nicely from Ops.

"If we don't establish contact right away, or if they don't acknowledge, proceed. Otherwise, I need to hear from Commander Michaels first. Truth be told, I'm really hesitant to put more lives on the line with the Dominion so close by and ready."

Felix stood at the back of the Bridge, "Commander, Lieutenant I am picking up a Federation signature coming closer to us." He then fed the data to Ops. "Can you detect it?"

"I see them. Open a channel."

"Channel open Commander." Somebody said.

"Commander, because of the storms down on the planet the i had to boost the radio gain it won't be a clear channel but i have set it to the highest frequency. I'll keep trying to clear it" Mickey said to the commander nicely

"Do your best." Michelle said. "Away team, Commander, this had better be you..."

"XO bring us in for Landing in the Shuttlebay, we have things to talk about." The Commander said over the Channel.

"Confirmed Commander, your cleared for docking in the main shuttlebay stand by" Mickey said as he locked a tractor beam onto the shuttle

Elliot looked at the Bridge Crew, he was thankful that no blood had been spilt but was still concerned about what was to come. He didn't like the presence of the Jem'hadar or the Dominion.

Mickey then sent a text message to Wakeman at tactical "Something is not right. but best keep our guard up" Mickey said to sela at tactical

With the Away Team now back on the Ship and the search growing ever so more mysterious. It was time for the Victory to get to work.
