Opening himself up

Mission: Now Boarding.......
Location: Ten forward
Timeline: 2391. Thursday, April 3rd. Stardate 68255.48

Aladdin and Mickey had gone to ten forward, to go pick up some food and dog food for his faithful companion.

"I know boy i know your hungry" He said do his dog

Aladdin had whined a little as the barkeep had fed his dog some specialty food that he had them use the recipes for.

Mickey didn't know anyone in particular as he kept to himself sometimes as he decided to sit next to the window preparing for the unknown.

"Well, here's to adventure" Mickey said as he sat down and ate his lunch with Apple cider.

"Ten Forward... I guess it's a tradition," her Scottish siren sighed. "I wonder if I can get an actual scotch in here?"

When the woman moved, it wasn't so much walking per se. It was certainly a form of ambulation, in that she moved from point A to B. But in covering the distance between there was a sinuous undulation to the woman's movements that seemed almost calculated for effect, to put the maximum impression into each movement, however slight. As if in that serpentine sashay she spent serious scrutiny serving sex appeal. The body, the uniform zipper opened to her bellybutton, that smug and easy smile and that body that defied both belief and gravity all working together simply to produce a dazzling effect, one way or another.

All of which flew out the window when she spotted the Victory's resident canine, and her big brown eyes lit up and a delighted smile traced itself upon her face.

Acting Ensign Aladdin, the Black Lab was eating his food and sensed a new smell in the room as he looked up at the beautiful woman. Letting off a soft low howl and walked to her politely. It was there he offered his paw to the woman.

The smile broke into a full grin as the sultry scientist knelt down, smoothly genuflecting as she took the offered paw in her bronzed well-manicured hand. "Well ain't ye the pretty lad, aye? Helloo! Hallo! What's yuir name, me bonny black beastie, hm?" When she spoke, the clear and careful tones of Federation standard had a distinct highland brogue to them, as if the woman had stopped trying to repress it.

"Al...... Hello, gorgeous" Mickey caught a glimpse of the woman's beauty and walked up to her and his Lab.

Scruffing the bright-eyed canine about the neck, scratching him with both hands, it was clear that the science siren was fond of canines, and as she looked up she offered a bit of a quirky smile that managed to put forth the impression of a somewhat comical smirk

"Good boy." Mickey rubbed his dogs head as Aladdin smiled and then looked up at the woman. Not trying to look at her oddly but her beauty was dazzling regardless but his professionalism remained intact as he has to be a gentleman.

"Lieutenant Mickey McClane, Ma'am" He offered his hand to the woman.

Rising smoothly and none too hurried, the helioseismologist rode to her full height, making eye contact with McClane at his own height before setting her weight onto one hip, draping a hand casually on it even as her fingertips still dangled down near the nose of the sleek-coated Labrador. When she spoke, no hint of the redhead's accent remained- instead she spoke in a carefully clear and neutral accent.

"The ops chief, right. I'm Lieutenant Commander Liviana McCray, the science chief. Good to meet you, Mickey," she replied with a casual warmth that seemed genuine. Taking the offered hand, she returned it with a gentle handshake before turning her gaze down to the canine cohort in the conversation, including him as well. "So that must make you Ensign Aladdin, aye?"

Aladdin Spoke addressing her that he was who he is.

"You'll have to forgive my dog. He's a ladies man when it comes to him. I have taught him well but unfortunately he has picked up some of my bad habits. Silly Dog," Mickey looked down at him and just smiled with the Ensign looking back up with his big brown eyes.

"I dinna think that's a bad habit. Do ye think so Aladdin, hm?" The Scottish siren hunkered down again briefly to scratch the black-furred crewman's cheeks, gazing into his eyes to give the retriever a good look into her own, and one more proper sniff. The woman smelled of rose oil, was not entirely human nor natural, and she was hiding something. Dogs could always sense such things, after all.

"Forgive my rudeness. May I buy you a drink Lieutenant?" Mickey offered the hand of friendship but he made sure not to let his appearance be deceiving as he had to make sure that his emotions not let get the better of him.

Mentally Liviana chided herself. Lieutenant- forgot again, didn't ye? "I'd be delighted, Lieutenant. Though off duty just call me Liv. Or McCray if that's easier for you." As the lithe lieutenant rose once more, she chose a seat for herself with a view of the starfield. "Scotch, neat. The real stuff if they have it, synthehol if not is fine."

"I do believe the barkeep keeps a limited amount let me go see whats going on?" Mickey went over to the barkeep as Ensign Aladdin walked over to Liv, he kept a close eye on her as he sat next to her. Aladdin doesn't know her yet as the alluring beauty of the woman was unsure of.

With the canine remaining in presence, the rabunctious redhead stroked his coat, speaking to the animal as if he were a person. "I never get tired of looking at the stars, ye know? Old photographs of dead stars and galaxies, aye, but still... there's a majesty nd wonder to them that dwarf all sentient existence and really drives home how small and inconsequential we are, dunnit?" Pausing, she looked down at the canine officer, who looked back up at her. "I know, I know. Poetry isnae me strong point. But lucky for me dogs seldom care."

If Aladdin had an opinion on such matters, he kept it to himself.

"Here you are Liv, it's scotch neat." Mickey sat next to her as he kept a supply of his own drink romulan ale with him and sat down in the opposite seat next to her near Aladdin.

Taking the drink, she smiled, then chuckled. "Kali-fal, well lookit ye Mister Fancy Pants. I take it yuir not on duty anytime soon then, hm?" The brogue was a bit fluid now, slipping in and out when she spoke, lightly coloring her speech but not causing it to become a dense and impenetrable thicket of words that became a hazard to communication. Taking a sip, those brown eyes sparkled a bit with mischief she could never seem to lose no matter how plain a color she made her eyes appear.

"Forgive me for my rudeness, again. But, whats a knockout like you doing in outer space?" Mickey asked her just wanting to get to know her.

"Well, wouldn't be much use to anyone making porn, now would I?" Liv replied, parroting a conversation she'd had with Ron Jeremy at a party in LA years before. "I'm a helioseismologist... I study stars. So not one of those fields that works particularly well from planetside, not if you want real viable data. So I hop a ride on these beauties from time to time, because they get out there and chase the big boys, see the real phenom up close. Which in turn gives me the opportunity to study them firsthand, record some good solid data for future generations to study and learn from, and develop. After all, we're all made of star stuff... so the study of the stars is the study of realty itself, in a sense."

Pausing to take a sip of her drink, McCray scissored her legs to cross them deftly then sat back in her chair. "How about you, Mickey? What brings you out to travel in a pressurized tincan traveling at warp speed with your faithful dog in tow?" Idly her hand stroked the glossy short-haired coat of the quadruped in question as she mentioned Aladdin. Clearly she was taken with the retriever, and from her mannerisms it was clear that she was accustomed to the company of canines.

"Well Liv, I came back to the adventure and call. Because there is a back story about me that I try not to think about. It's something that I have to keep suppressed Ii survived it. But it's something I haven't been completely successful with," Mickey said as he drank some more Romulan ale

"Oooh, a man with a mysterious past. Ah, if only I were someone with an interesting past instead of just being an ordinary stuffy old scientist," she sighed, while her dark bronze shiny lips twisted themselves in an indulgent smirk that belied the fact that she was anything remotely resembling ordinary.

Aladdin, sensing good within her, was feeling more comfortable with her as he walked to her and rested his head on her leg because he loved the fact of all the attention he was getting. He looked up at her with those big brown eyes of his, and she met his gaze, the smirk softening into a smile. "Well, if you came to space with a good dog like this, ye canna be all bad, aye?"

"It seems my dog likes you a lot, Liv. You must have something that he likes within you... good qualities," Mickey smiled as he finished up his drink then got up to leave but he decided to do something off base.

"Would it be inappropriate to ask you to come with me to the holodeck? Because there's a program that I have that he and I go to that is paradise in my opinion." Mickey then offered his hand to the woman because he was going to take it slow. But it would be nice to be in the company of a lady again.

Walking wounded... is he a widower? Liviana tried to recall the man's service record, but she was fortunate to have recalled who he was, let alone details about his history. It wasn't like she had carefully researched where she was going and who she would be going with this time. Instead she had just inserted herself and decided to go with the flow, taking things as they came and just seeing where the linear flow of time took her.- living in the moment. What the hell, Livi- live a little, she could almost hear Rain's voice in her mind's eye, urging her to go and enjoy herself.

Taking the offered hand, she rose gracefully from the comfortable chair and set her drink down, barely touched.

"Taking a walk in paradise sounds quite nice, Lieutenant McClane. Lead on, Aladdin..."

Aladdin lead the way to the holodeck. While Mickey had held the hand of this mysterious woman he couldn't help it but smiled as he just enjoyed her company.
