OOC: This is set AFTER the events on the planet, just to avoid confusion, but it gives us something fun to write while we are waiting.

There was a chirrup and Dr Sara's voice came across the Comms, =A= Bertra...I mean, T'eseri to the Captain. Please report to Medical urgently. =A=

When Michaels arrived he Found Commander Bertrum and the doctor in the Doctor's office examining holographic images of themselves.

"Ah, Captain, thank you for coming" Bertrand said, taking a step forward towards Elijah, "I fear we have a rather peculiar situation on our hands."

"What seems to be the problem?" Elijah asked curiously.

“I am unable to explain how it happened, however it would appear that Commander Bertrand and I have swapped bodies,” Sara, in Bertrand’s body, explained. Her measured pattern of speaking sounding strange in his voice. “I understand that this is not common among telepathic species, however Commander Bertrand mentioned a data file that may have some insight, a file named ‘Freaky Friday’, I believe”

"To be perfectly honest, sir," the newly skinned Bertrand added, "We are clutching at straws. And it is not helped that these bodies... think differently. Muscle memory, hormones, even the concept of personal space. It's still me in here but..."

Blue Bert glanced over at the New Sara, "I've done a lot of undercover work, so I am used to acting as something I am not, but it has always been just acting. I could be me again any time I wanted. I still have all my memories, all my Tactical training, but I don't know how to use them in this frame. It's worse for Sara. She now has an arm that can punch through metal if she is not careful."

“It is going to take time for us to adjust and discover how to rectify this situation” Sara said

"It is going to impact on our mission here on Trill but, provided we avoid emergency situations, we should...."

Bertrand sighed, "There are times I just need to shut up."
