Readyroom

Mission:
The Trial of Cor Cordale
Timeline: Slight backpost, to before the ship leaves
She'd made it! Just in time. Just before the ship disembarked, she'd made it onboard. Panting to catch her breath, duffelbag sling over her shoulder, she stood there, wondering just what the deal was, why she had been ordered to report to the Victory in such a hurry.
With that thought in mind the pale engineer set off to the Captain's ready room. Surely he would have answers. Once there she rang the doorchime.
"Enter!" Elijah commented as he looked towards the door of his ready room.
Said door opened, allowing Hel to step inside. A medium height, medium built human woman, notable for a near white pale skin and black lips, black on black eyes, with subtle black tattoos on her face highlighting her eyes. She stood at attention then gave a salute, knowing nothing about her new captain she decided to play it as safe as possible, on the off chance that he was a stickler for regulation. She hoped for a more relaxed captain than that though.
"Captain. Lieutenant Hel Samedi, reporting. Here are my transfer orders." she spoke, offering a PaDD.
The Captain nodded. "Ah yes, Assistant Chief Engineer." Elijah said as he took the PADD and scrolled through it. "Welcome aboard."
Ah, that answered the question she had. Hel smiled. "Assistant chief? Nice. If I may Sir, do you know why my transfer orders came in so late? I had to book it double time to get onboard on time."
He shook his head. "I am afraid I cannot answer that for you, the previous Assistant was offered another role and you were sent here."
A nod. "Well, fair enough." she mused. "Was there anything else I need to know, Sir?"
He shook his head. "Commander Cordale our Chief Engineer will certainly have work for you as his Assistant I suggest you settle in and then report to him."
"Yessir." Hel replied. He didn't seem too bad, she thought. A bit curt perhaps, somewhat no-nonsense, but she imagined that so right before the ship disembarked to parts unknown he probably had a lot on his plate. "With your permission then, I will get my physical taken care of and meet Commander Cordale." Strange, the thought - Cordale was a ferengi number, not something you'd expect as a name.
With that thought she left to get settled.
