Mission: If I told you...
Location: Shuttle Bay USS Victory inside the nebula

The runabout was again facing out of the bay and towards the station. The support team were assembling at it's starboard hatch prior to boarding.

Already onboard the runabout, Satele was running through the preflight checks so they could take off as quickly as possible. She didn't want to waist a single moment as every minuets they were delayed was another minuet that the away team was in danger

=A= Lieutenant Satele, as soon as you clear the ship, the shields will be up, i don't want the victory fired on by the Breen=A= Mickey said over the com-link as he began monitoring for any Breen ships.

"Understood, and it's Lieutenant Ishan, not Lieutenant Satele" she said, still a little annoyed how non-bajorans keep getting her name wrong.

Mickey just brushed it off. Shaking his head as he just pet Aladdin on his head softly as he began continuous monitoring for Breen vessels

Valeria shook her head slightly as she brought up the virology panels. =A= "Lieutenant Ishan, I'm giving the study of this pathogen my top priority. Whatever it is, we'll find a way to contain and cure it. I'll need any data you and your team come across. To this end, there should be at least someone on your team with a high-gain tricorder unit..." =A=

One of the members of Satele's support team held up the slightly thicker tricorder in a 'Yup, got it' motion.

=A= "With luck, it will have enough transmitting power to send a clear signal out. Otherwise, there are a few signal repeaters to accompany. I'm certain I don't have to remind you of this, but the odds of the away team avoiding being exposed to the pathogen are six hundred and seventy five to one, against. Be careful, and above all else, use your best judgement. Good luck. Victory out." =A=

Satele sighed, "alright people, strap in. We're in a it of a hurry so make it fast"

The Runabout lifted quickly of the platform and sped towards the station.

(U.S.S. Victory, Main Bridge.)

"Val, would you be so kind as to give me a tactical readout on a Breen warship? Please" Mickey asked her nicely.

"Of course." a few taps on her console, before she sent the data packet to Mickey's ops terminal. "They favor disruptors over standard phasers, and they have been known to use cloaking systems. There aren't many conventional ways a single vessel can detect a cloaked ship at range, though in this nebula I wouldn't rely heavily on anything requiring sensors. Not to mention consistent scanning would make us stand out like blood in the snow."

"There's also another problem. I remember a battle in the dominion war, though even though i was retired. I heard that those Breen people used an energy discharge which disabled and basically destroyed the first U.S.S Defiant." He then rubbed his head. But then had an idea. =A= Torpedo bay, modify all available torpedoes to catalog gaseous anomalies.=A= Mickey ordered to one of his operations officers in the bay. "Val, i am remembering an idea from the battle of kitomher, if the breen are cloaked the torpedoes can detect them from their fuel cells. Nothing can stay hidden forever" He turned around and smirked at the Lieutenant Junior grade officer but in all good fun of course.

"It'd surprise you how well some things can try, though. I'd advise against modifying all of the torpedoes. There's no need for more than three, especially considering... if I'm remembering correctly, the ship in question that you are remembering was carrying scientific equipment specifically geared toward cataloging gaseous anomalies." a pause, "I'd also like to point out that nebular matter is, for lack of a better classification, a gaseous anomaly." a smirk.

"Of course, Madam rabbitness" He smirked and the torpedo bay sent a text to modify the torpedoes to detect the Breen ships while cloaked "Excellent, they modified three and a few more extra just encase. Lieutenant, they exchanged one of the torpedoes for the modified one. Also, the energy discharge. We have to avoid that at all costs. Because, one hit they would zap all our power systems and we would be dead in the water a lifeless hulk. Any ideas, how to avoid all that?" The man asked the female rabbitness nicely.

"Why, yes." a pause, "Don't get hit."

A pause, to allow that moment to linger. "I don't think the energy dissipation weapon will be a concern. Especially considered a countermeasure was researched after an intact weapon was captured and reverse engineered. With the countermeasure installed on any ship that was constructed or in service around the time of the Dominion war... I don't think it will be an issue."

"Excellent." Aladdin said out loud as he went over to Valeria's station and let her know he wanted his head rubbed by her. "We're going to make it through, lieutenant." He looked up at her with those big brown eyes of his.

Despite growing up on an alien world a trillion miles from Earth, petting a dog seemed universal. "Thank you for your courage." she said. Was she actually afraid? Heavens no, but maybe Aladdin was, so she respected his possible fear by not drawing attention to it.

A panel in front of Mickey lit up. The station had initiated a self destruct sequence.

"Oh, Bloody Hell!" Mickey said as he saw something.

"We have three of those." Valeria commented with a smirk, "Though that's probably not what you meant. What's the issue?"

"Val, they set the station to self destruct. Ten minutes. that doesn't even give us much time. I am initiating Red Alert" Mickey said as he engaged the klaxons on the bridge and all hands went to battle stations.

"A station of that size, we'll need a minute and a half to reach a clear safe distance in this nebula," The rabbitess calculated. "We can afford to wait eight and a half minutes for the away team to return. Commander, I'll put the new countdown on the main screen." and an ominous countdown of eight minutes started to count away. She rounded down, factoring in sensor issues, reaction time, and general 'err on the side of fortune'.
